QuickCup 2008

basic rules

Winner of gauntlets-only skirmish will choose which map will be played first. When the map score is 1:1 the team with lower score eliminates one of remaining maps and then team with higher score picks third map. Third map has to be picked from unplayed maps only.

Checking the server settings is both clans or players responsibility. If a certain setting is wrong they should alert the referee immediately. Matches will not be replayed or restarted because of a wrong setting that could have been reported before or in the beginning of the match.

At least one of the players has to send the IP adress of the server where is the match played. If both teams readied up and started to play, they cannot leave team/server. Players have to use the nicknames they entered during registration. Smurfing is strictly forbidden.

Players should wait until the match ends because of the endgame screenshots and the frag count. If they don't and a 3rd deciding map is about to be played, the player who did not left the game (by reconnecting, for example) chooses the map without his opponent being able to eliminate. If there's an admin present, players should make him a referee if possible.

If players cant play their match in the given week, they must let the admin know at least one day in advance. The match will be played during the week after the groups are over.

Everyone has to idle #quakequickcup to arrange matches and to send results to the admin.

quick cups system

Quick cups are quick tourneys lasting for two or three days. Players sign up by messaging to an admin on the IRC channel #quakequickcup.

When the registration is over, the signed players are divided into brackets by the "best to worst" rule.

Each day, three rounds in both winner's and loser's bracket are played.

Don't forget that you must idle the #quakequickcup channel to avoid any misunderstanding and to be in touch with the admins and your opponents. During the whole tourney, best of five & full double elimination system is applied.

The waiting time in quick cup is 10 minutes. In case the opponent won't show up, players have to tell the admin about it and he then forfeits the match. If this happens during the first round, the penalised team will be replaced by a team from the waiting list.

For faster tourney progress in 2v2 tournaments, losers bracket will be bo1. Each team will send its representative to a pummel fight (100/100) or flip coin ( /callvote random 2), the winner (e.g. team1) begins the elimination in following order: team1, team2, team2, team1. Remaining map shall be played.

Each team can have one substitute. Captains have to msg admin their sub (since you can't register him/her through the registration system) before the tournament starts. This player can't be a member of any other team.

One coach is allowed.

leagues system

The league system is somewhat different to quick cups. Unlike quick cups, two or three day tourneys, this is a league where only one game per week is played. Players are split into basic groups and the best 2-3 players in each group advance to play-off.

You can find more specific information on quick cup web page. Each match will be broadcasted by GTV and an admin must be present and every match is reported, including screenshots/mvd.

These leagues will be played in duel, but also tdm and ctf mode. Two times in a year an euro league is played in one of the above mentioned mods, and in this case, players/teams are invited, its not opened to all players.

Another tourney provided by us is the Nations Cup - TDM and CTF.

All of these tourneys and leagues will include interesting prize money/valuable awards for the winners.
