The Port Huron area is a wonderful place. I was born in Port Huron, Michigan where my family still lives. My husband and I moved to Michigan in 1993 after living and working in the United Kingdom for 9 years. We sold our house in London and found a much larger house to move into closer to my husband’s family who live just down the road from us. I joke that our marriage license says we can’t live more than 20 miles apart.
While I was living in the UK, I had visited Port Huron but never really saw what was there except for a few restaurants on the highway and one or two places to shop. My mother-in-law invited me to visit some time and I finally did in 2001. I stayed for 3 weeks. I fell in love with the area and never left.
