What is Dover De?
The Dover De is the first and only major urban transit system for its region. The buses are clean, easy to access, affordable and have a variety of features such as air conditioning, USB plugs for your devices, comfortable seats and security cameras. The bus system is what you would expect for a city of its size. There are about a dozen routes that run from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. This includes Route 1, which acts as a shuttle from the ball park and train station to downtown Dover. If you’re looking for more than just the basics you can ride the Dover De 3 or the Dover De 4. The latter is a bus service that operates out of downtown that runs every 15 minutes between 5:00 AM and 8:00 PM Monday to Friday. There are a total of 6 routes and they run on the same paths along Charlotte St, North Pleasant & Mill St in Dover. It is wise to look at the map before you get on a route as every bus service has its own route and landmarks.
How to Get There From Delaware?
If you are coming from out of state or from out of the region, simply leave for the Greyhound station and Georgia Avenue, Ms. Hildra and Winston Churchill Blvd. in the state of Delaware. From here to the Dover bus system you can take advantage of the 3D bus, which offers from 4 very large seats, 2 normal seats and a total number of 40 passengers per bus, designed for travel to Dover. The trip from Wilmington to Dover is just under two hours with a total cost of around US$10.00 (USD). With this bus line you also can get to New York City and Boston, usually departing at 8am and 10pm respectively.
Another good route for Dover transportation is the Route 17 bus line, which takes you to Wilmington, then takes 6 hours with a cost of around US$7.00 (USD).
Fare from Wilmington to Dover can be taken from the Greyhound station Wilmington, in Indiana. From there you can take the Greyhound Bus for Atlanta or Richmond.
Greyhound offers other routes to New York City and Boston, but at normal times these lines don’t depart until 8am and 10pm respectively.
If you are coming from Virginia and want to get to the Delmarva Peninsula (Dover and Wilmington) the best route is by bus line Greyhound.
