Introduction:

I started dancing when i was 13 years old. In my experience, dance has brought me a lot of happiness and joy. There are many reasons why people dance but here are some of the most common: To express themselves through movement and music. To express emotions through dance. To connect with other people through dance. To be creative in dance. To enjoy the company of others while dancing.
There are many types of dances and many different styles. Some people like to create their own styles and techniques while others prefer to learn different steps in different dances. You can also just dance with a partner, with a group of people, or you can go solo and dance by yourself. Some people like to freestyle and improvise while others enjoy learning new choreography.
I don t want to talk about all the reasons why dance is remarkable but i do want to talk about some of the reasons why i love it so much.

How Important is It to Know Your Limits?

In a discussion on dancing, a close friend said to me, “I don’t know whether I could try the next move. I might hurt myself.” And my friend is not alone. Many people have this sense that they can’t dance because they fear pain or because they think they might fall or perhaps break their bones. They think they might lack the strength to dance well. I’ve heard people say, “I’m not coordinated,” or “I’m too old.” But when i think back to those early lessons in dance, I always remember that my teachers taught me how to find my own limitations and then told me if it’s within those limits that i should push myself. No matter what your age or physical condition, if you have the desire and the courage, you can learn to dance.

Why You Shouldn’t Aim for the Sky and Keep Yourself Grounded

Nowadays, many people who take dance lessons believe that they are going to become highly skilled dancers. They think that if they only learned enough steps then they could turn into world-class dancers like the top professional dancers. But you can’t try to beat the world. You have to keep yourself grounded. When people say things like, “I can’t do this,” or “I’m a beginner,” try to remind them of their own limits so that they don’t set themselves up for failure by striving to do something beyond their abilities. If a person believes that he can dance, then no matter what level he or she is at, they can start dancing. If they still have doubts, they can find some simple exercises to start to make them stronger. My teacher encourages people to dance within their abilities and not to aim for the sky. I also don’t think that dancing is going to be easy. It’s not as though anyone can suddenly become a grand master of dance, but you can try to make yourself better. If you have a dream, then don’t let yourself be distracted by it and just keep working on the smaller things first. Then the dream will come true.

The Struggle to Stay Grounded When You Really Want to Reach for the Stars

If you work hard and practice diligently, eventually you will attain a certain level of skill. It is really hard to keep yourself grounded when you start to reach for the stars. You think that you will never be happy if you are not dancing better. You stop thinking about your own limits and start focusing on your goal to become a world-class dancer. For example, many of my students who have learned a lot of dance steps are discouraged by their own limits. Some of them think that they will never dance well. I always tell them, “Never give up.” No matter what the circumstance is, try to find a solution. It is true that reaching for the stars does require a lot of effort. But never forget about your own happiness, and never sacrifice everything for your goal.
