Charlie’s Birthday Party Recipes
Now, I’m going to tell you how I spent the last 5 days of my life when I was sick. But don’t copy and paste any of this to your blog or anything! It’s just for fun. There’s no such thing as a true fact and either way, this is for entertainment only.
Day 1: Tuesday, February 6th
“It’s Charlie’s birthday!” “We have to buy presents!” I say as I am getting out of bed. I dress up in my birthday clothes and throw on some makeup. My mom and dad are having a baby shower for me downstairs and all of my friends are there. They give me a huge box of chocolate from their favortie candy store, “Chocolate Guy”. My mom got the idea from my best friend, Amanda. She got the idea from her favorite Chocolate Guy show, “Candy Guy”.
I go downstairs and open the presents. I’m speechless. Just when I was about to say something, my mom calls out for me to come downstairs. It’s time for my party! We all go outside and wait for the party bus to come pick us up. There are lots of other teachers, parents and kids at the party.
“Charlie? Want some cake?” my mom asks pointing at a huge cake in front of me.
“Of course!” I say and start to save some room for dinner. The band starts playing music and we all start to dance! I’m having so much fun, I forget I am sick. After the party, everyone leaves and my mom tucks me in. It was the best birthday ever!
Day 2: Sunday, February 11th
Charlie’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
I got the recipe from a friend, Kasey, when I was sick. She was sick at the same time, but she recovered in two days. My mom thought it would be funny to make these cookies healthy so I would eat them and get better.
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
⅔ cup granulated sugar (or xylitol for diabetic) 1 tsp baking soda 2 eggs ½ tsp salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1.5 cups all-purpose flour ¾ cup semisweet chocolate chips (or bittersweet chocolate chips, then reduce sugar to ⅓ cup) ⅓ cup white chocolate chips
Cream the softened butter and sugars together. Add eggs and beat until light in color and thick. Add vanilla and mix well. Sift and add flour and salt. Add chips. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets, or use a scoop if you have one. Bake in a 325° oven for 10-15 minutes, depending on how crunchy you want them.
You can enjoy these cookies with milk, coffee or chocolate milk!
