Introduction: The Elevator Lobby, a Place for Everything and Nothing
The lobby of the hotel is covered in a layer of dust. The stench of cigarettes fills the air and the nightly dance of embers creates a dizzying ambiance, as dark smoke dances through the air. The stairwells, which are always locked all day, remain open to help cool down. The floor is covered in graffiti, vandalized by teenagers. It looks as though the once well-maintained hotel lobby has fallen into disrepair and is left to the whims of those who live inside.
The building itself is fairly large, and extends from the ground floor to the fifth floor. There are windows on all four sides of the lobby, but there are several covers fixed on for safety reasons. At night these windows turn into a fairyland of sparkling lights, every color of the rainbow and every shade in between.
Each window has its own personality, as if creating a unique space within the larger whole. The lobby is covered in mirrors, which reflect the colorful lights and sparkling fountain out into the night sky. The mirrors are covered with vines of ivy that coil up their sides and patiently hang over each mirror, like a delicate string of pearls hanging from a necklace.
The Hotel Lobby is the Stuff of Nightmares
The lobby of the hotel is at night a place of nightmares. The stench of cigarettes and booze fills the air and the nightmarish dance of embers creates a dizzying ambiance, as dark smoke dances through the air. The stairwells which are always locked all day, remain open and help cool down. The floor is covered in graffiti, vandalized by teenagers who look as though they came from a John Waters movie. We are in a place that we don’t want to be, where we are forced to face our demons. Not all of us, mind you. Most people avoid the lobby, and are very quick to leave. “Yeah yeah, I’ll meet you at the bar at eleven,” is a common phrase uttered when exiting the lobby. There is a dark aura to the place that we can’t quite comprehend until we confront it on our own.
Is it Time to Make an Escape from the Elevator Lobby?
It’s a place where everything is available but nothing of importance. There’s nothing important to take home, because all that truly matters can only be found in the apartment, which you have left behind. It is a place where time, feelings and emotions are lost. In a place where everything is available there are no values and the world has lost its meaning or at least what it hopes is its meaning. The elevator lobby is a place where everything is available, but nothing of importance. It’s a place where nothing important can be taken away, because all that truly matters can only be found in your apartment, which you have left behind. Why Visit an Escape from the Elevator Lobby?
How many times have you escaped the elevator lobby? How many times have you grown up and left your home behind? You never look back, but your apartment is always in your mind. You know every corner, every single detail of every piece of furniture. The elevator lobby is a place where you can revisit old memories, where you can catch a glimpse of an old flame. You know what to expect but it’s still not the same. Everything is different, nothing has changed.
I had this experience when I visited a country where I used to live, but didn’t feel like visiting. I remember everything: the tall building that used to stand in the middle of the city, the great park right next to it, old memories of everyday life there. The trip was very special: it felt real and deep. It wasn’t just a tourist trip; it was a trip back in time where I saw my past in front of my eyes.
I wanted to revisit the place again and take some pictures. I couldn’t find the old building or its park, but I did find an elevator lobby in a hotel that might look similar to it. As soon as I saw the place, it felt right and familiar. It was weird because I had never really visited this part of my past before.
Should You Stay There or Should You Run Away?
You are in a place where you can revisit old memories. You know what to expect but it’s still not the same. Everything is different, nothing has changed. It’s time to make an escape from the elevator lobby, it’s time to leave the elevator lobby behind. After all, it is time to leave everything behind.
The elevator lobby used to be your home. It was a place where you were comfortable in. The elevator lobby used to be the best place on Earth, or at least the world you were living in. Elevator lobbies were a refuge of happiness, safety, and comfort. But you can’t live there forever no matter how much you want it to stay like that. It’s time to leave the elevator lobby behind.
