Teeming with life, the garden place at Heritage Park is a garden that is hidden in plain sight. With beautiful flowers, trees and shrubs, it’s a joy for visitors of all ages and interests. The garden is home to more than 20 varieties of flowers, including roses and clematis, as well as a variety of shrubs including plum trees and apple fruit trees.
The garden was beautifully landscaped in preparation for the Open Houses of 2010 featuring two three-storey townhouses being constructed by the Heritage Township Tradesmen and Craftsmen Trust. The Open Houses were held in April and a lot of time and effort was put into creating an outdoor environment that would complement the townhouses.
The trust has received a heritage grant which resulted in Heritage Park being known as Canada’s first heritage park. The Heritage Township Tradesmen and Craftsmen Trust is a non-profit charitable organization established in 2008 to assist in the restoration of Heritage Park.
