Introduction: All about Branson in Missouri and What is Hot in Eureka Springs?

This blog is going to be about the distance between Branson, MO and Eureka Springs, AR. I will go over several different points of interest on both sides. This article is going to be mostly in Branson and around Eureka Springs. Branson is a very popular city to visit in Missouri. Eureka springs is a beautiful tourist town. It is located in Arkansas, just across the border from Branson, MO. The lines between Branson, MO and Eureka Springs, AR are about 65 miles apart.
The city of Branson is located in the Ozark Mountain region of Missouri. The city is named for one of its most well known founders: Benjamin Rudolph Branson, Sr. It was first settled in 1871 by a group including Ben “Branson” Rudolph and his family. His wife and children were traveling stagecoach across America when they decided to stop in the area which would become Branson. The whole family settled on a 160-acre homestead, which is still owned by the Branson family. The limestone rock and the quartzite rock were mined from the area that would become Branson, which is called the Branson Cut. A small collection of buildings were built near these quarries in 1873. This was far from an ideal location for a town, being too far from the city of Dallas to attract many local residents; at this time, Branson was more of a vacation spot than a place to live or work. The local patrons of the Branson Quarry were more interested in the hunting, fishing and natural beauty that the land offered rather than the mining of it. The operation was closed shortly after it opened, which left many people unemployed with no work to do. This is where Ben “Branson” Rudolph came into play.

The hotel itself is very nice and they offer all of your basic amenities. You can rent an RV if you want to travel with your family or friends. They have a nice pool on the property as well. Try and make reservations for the Silver Dollar Inn as soon as possible. It is especially nice during the summer months!
As you travel down the road to your destination, you will see the Silver Dollar Inn’s sign on the right. If it is not already lit up with a neon light it usually is in the next day or so.
